Literature Text

It was nothing really
Just a move of an arm
A twitch, more than anything!
I meant no harm

Still my arm did move
Into the condiments' path
Tell me, how does that make sense
That I deserve God's wrath?

Just a small bit of pepper
It meant nothing more!
Okay, a rather lot of pepper
Spilling onto the floor…

The shaker went crashing
It clattered and scraped
And I was roped in
To the cruel hands of fate

Then my friend started yelling
All red in the face
And the server got angry
Threw us out of the place

And my poor best friend Matt
Well of course he blamed me
"Seriously man," He said
"How stupid could you be?"

One thing led to another
The ring-match progressed
He called me bad names
And I punched out his chest

When at last we had calmed
Panting down at our feet
He put his arm around me, said
"There's another diner down the street."

Now, you've just got to listen
This one's really not my fault,
I bumped the table with my knee–
And then there went the salt.
For the Luck/Superstition contest!

Very charming, the gods wrath line was maybe a bit to profound in the light of things, but otherwise coherent and amusing.=D
